Wa alykumus salaam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu,
I prefer number 2 as it is more related to Discover Islam Week and it will
be more appealing to Non-Muslims especially with all the stereotyping
going on I think.
JazakAllah Khair,
Awais

[bradisoc2015] Meeting Minutes & DIW!

Salaam,

I would prefer Option 2 because of the propaganda which is being spread
around in regards to Islam. Its the best way to highlight islamic heritage
around the globe.

I also want to put forth a series of workshops or lectures in regards to
the seerah of the Beloved Prophet pbuh. To highlight the importance of his
life pbuh.

Open for both muslims & Non Muslims and may be a extensive Q&A Session to
rid of any misconceptions.

Wa alaikum salaam,

Attached are the minutes from today's meeting, please ensure you have a
read through.

Also, below are 2 possible event ideas for DIW week, please reply with
your opinions!

Option 1:

Potentially hosting Hakim Shahid Bukhari for Bradford Isoc to provide them
with a greater insight into Prophetic Medicine as Hakim Shahid Bukhari is
highly skilled and experienced in the field of Tibb and Herbalism. He is
also a master Iridologist.

You can find out more about the work Hakim does via his website
www.shahidbukhari.co.uk or his Facebook page (Shahid Bukhari). He runs

offer more of in the North.

We are trying to make more people aware of what Hakim Shahid Bukhari has
to offer and the opportunity to learn amazing natural ways of healing that
people can empower themselves with.

Option 2:

A good idea for a talk on DIW, something unique and may help bridge the
gap between non Muslims and Muslims.

Hoping the topic will attract non Muslims, the speaker is a revert Adam Kelwick.

Britain's Lost Islamic Heritage

- Evidence of over 1200 years of British links with Islam

- Prominent Muslims in the British aristocracy and leadership

- Islam in Victorian Times

- Britain's first Shaykh and his mosque
