BandwidthShaper only apply Bytes/sec?

BandwidthShaper only apply Bytes/sec?

Hello all,

BandwidthShaper shapes traffic to maximum rate (bytes/s). If i want to
apply bandwidth limitation in MB and GB,what should i do?

Like
BandwidthShaper(500MB/s) -> todev1;
BandwidthShaper(1GB/s) -> todev1;
or BandwidthShaper(500KB/s) -> todev1;

Thanks,

Hi,

The understood units are :
baud
bps
b/s
Bps
B/s

While the understood prefixes are :
k (or K which is equivalent)
M
G

So anything ending by GBps, MBps or KBps should work,like 572MBps.

Hello,

out0 :: Queue(200) -> BandwidthShaper(100MBps) -> todev1; //Not working
out0 :: Queue(200) -> BandwidthShaper(100MB/s) -> todev1; //Not working
out0 :: Queue(200) -> BandwidthShaper(100000B/s) -> todev1; //Only working

This is not limiting the bandwidth. I am using iperf for bandwidth and
it showing the highest bandwidth.
Is it the correct way to use this element?

Thanks,
Baldev Singh
