Absolutely!

Falcon Framework is a bloat free system allowing the developer to add
modules of their choice.

In your case, use the mysqldb module. As seen here:

Hi Bettad, welcome!

We have a tutorial that shows how to implement a simple REST API:
https://falcon.readthedocs.org/en/stable/user/tutorial.html

You might also want to take a look at
SQLAlchemy<http://www.sqlalchemy.org/>. If you use that library, you can
take advantage of Falcon
middleware<https://falcon.readthedocs.org/en/stable/api/middleware.html>
to manage the
sessions<http://docs.sqlalchemy.org/en/latest/orm/contextual.html>. I’m
hoping we can get a tutorial written that demonstrates this, but in the
meantime we’re happy to help answer your questions.
