A welcome step if freedom is maintained

A welcome step if freedom is maintained

Hi Guys,

More than a year back I found that my mails are not reaching the archives.
I was moderated without any explanation.
Emails asking for explanation were in vain!
This is a welcome move and thanks for inviting me :-)

Warm Regards

Siju

Also spread the news so that others are also aware that freedom is not yet
lost..

It was surprising to me that everyone just accepted moderation silently
till now (for long). Instead of throwing out the bad apples, people just
stopped being active in the community. I know it can be quite
disappointing when you are treated badly, especially in a voluntary
community. But we all should stand together and stop anyone spoiling the
community.

Finally, we are here. Lets make sure no one is treated badly ever again
in our community. We all have disagreements sometimes on strategies,
issues and philosophy, but at the bottom we are all in this together to
take the message of Software Freedom, Knowledge Freedom, Free Culture
and even Freedom in Everything digital and for many even wider, a Free
Society. So lets find common ground and work together where we all agree
and still keep debating about our differences with respect, without
getting into personal fights and focusing on convincing each other
though logic and arguments.

You'll never be moderated here, well, no one ever will be moderated
here. Because there is no owner and moderator. So with freedom comes
responsibility. The responsibility of keeping the list alive and healthy
is now lies with everyone. You cannot pray to a moderator when someone
starts posting something you don't like. Everyone still have the choice
of setting up personal filters if they don't like someone.

Well, I was not even aware of the moderation! Because I didn't even get
any notifications and
the list was like a home for more than a decade so never cross checked
whether the mails are appearing in the archives.
No one keeps things safe at home, no one expects foul play at home .. may
be this happened with everyone. I am still clueless about why this lunatic
activity was happening !
