Hi,

I have posted the question on nethserver forum. Within two days I have
received answer from nethserver community members.
Compare to Zentyal nethserver has good community support.

Here is the link to our discussion on nethserver community forum.

<http://community.nethserver.org/t/workshop-on-nethserver-for-sme-shos-people/740/2>

Hi, I'll try to answer some questions.

<http://community.nethserver.org/t/workshop-on-nethserver-for-sme-shos-people/740/1>
Danial_Jose:

1>Does it support Active directory

NethServer can join an existing Active Directory, but it can't act as an
Active Directory domain controller.
For instance, NethServer can't manage group policies.

<http://community.nethserver.org/t/workshop-on-nethserver-for-sme-shos-people/740/1>
Danial_Jose:

2> Will it support MS outlook or outlook express

Sure, you can access all mailboxes with any IMAP-capable client.

<http://community.nethserver.org/t/workshop-on-nethserver-for-sme-shos-people/740/1>
Danial_Jose:

3> How do u take backup and how efficient is to restore

There a two kind of backup.
Take a look at the manual: http://docs.nethserver.org/en/latest/backup.html

<http://community.nethserver.org/t/workshop-on-nethserver-for-sme-shos-people/740/1>
Danial_Jose:

4> Is there any simple procedure to migrate from Exchange server to the
netserver

For the mail part, you can use IMAPsync.

Danial_Jose:

5> Later after I am using netserver and not happy with it, is it possible
to migrate back to microsoft exchange server

I think you can always use IMAPsync...but I've really no idea [image:

Danial Jose
