Smartmachine upgrades

For those of you with a Joyent nodejs smartmachine...

I managed to update to nodejs 0.4.7, npm 1.0.6 and install proton, micro et al.

It was a little painful, however I've recorded the steps I took in a
gist https://gist.github.com/989847

Richard.

Urgh, well that went massively wrong.

I forgot the service runs with a direct reference to the /opt/local/nodejs copy.

Instead, I've worked out how to tell npm to install somewhere else.
Gist has been updated with all the gory details.

Hey Rich. Thanks for working this out. I wasn't able to add your key to the
root user - they don't seem to use $HOME/.ssh/authorized_keys for the auth.
I followed your instructions instead, which worked like a dream. Should be
back to simple updates :-)

Site looks nice. Would still like to have a link to the use.no.de homepage
at the top, and perhaps a link to the main projects?
