Handling worker failures

Handling worker failures

Hi,

When using resque, is it possible to handle worker failures by adding their
current jobs back to the queue?

Example:

My worker started to work on job #2 now but it was killed or its server had
to shutdown. This job was not completed and is completely gone.

I would like to have it added back to queue so that another worker can take
care of it as all my tasks can resume jobs.

Thanks.

There is a resque clearner plugin you can use to requeue failed jobs along
with other functionality.

You can use the Resque Retry plugin for this and its designed to handle
such condition.
It can also handle multiple failure backends as well.
