budget data hack night

Hi guys,
I run infoaus.net which hosts BudgetAus, the federal budget for the first
time in an online searchable database.
I have recently introduced the ability for users to download excel files
based on search results however I'd like some help in figuring out how
best to put such data downloads to work as I have not delved a great way
into JavaScript and the point is to engage other people with the data
anyway.
The data is available under Creative Commons 3.0 for commercial and
non-commercial uses. I am interested in getting some JavaScript people
together to show me (and each other) what can be done with this data,
perhaps during your monthly event although I'm not sure whether the venue
is suitable for a bit of hacking or not.
Either way I'd love to hear your feedback,
