June meetup: CLUSTERS, COMPOSERS, AND CWESTIONS

June meetup: CLUSTERS, COMPOSERS, AND CWESTIONS

CLUSTERS, COMPOSERS, AND CWESTIONS
If I know you as well as I think I do, it's true - you would like to know
how to build a basic realtime API and use it to live-bind front-end
components directly to backend data so that the front end always displays
the most up to date data as soon as it changes on the backend.

And it's also true - you'd really like an introduction to the Guardian's
new development studio here in Sydney with a look at Composer (the Guardian
CMS) and how they use JavaScript to break out and get funky.

But more than both those things - you can't wait to find out who that other
speaker is. So I'll tell you know to keep you calm ... it's S ... WAIT Of
course I'm not going to tell you. Are you kidding? I know you're not going
to sleep till you find out. But we both know that's just how its going to
be.

RSVP NOW: http://sydjs.com _____________________________________

On the night you can look forward to:
Jonathan Gros-Dubois: Not restful spas and not SPAs with RESTful APIs
Todd Moore: The Poms have arrived! Cup of tea anyone?
and Shhh: Now that would be telling!

And, of course ... more! (Well maybe just a little more this month)

Hi Craig,

Great seeing you last night at the video meetup. As much as I'd like to
come to sydjs tonight, I've got to work out some employment issues that are
long overdue. Creating a new startup is not easy!

I'll come to the next one to introduce my book if that's OK?

Cherrs,
Silvia.

Hope you had some progress on the issues you faced!

Next month will be great!

Do you have any reviewer copies of your book? I can take a look and talk it
up to introduce you if you get me one? :P

Seeing as this ended up publicly (sorry about that!), the least I can
do is provide some context.

My new book is about HTML5 Media:
http://www.amazon.com/Beginning-HTML5-Media-video-standards/dp/1484204611

It was just published this week and I'm hoping to be able to bring a
copy or two to next month's SydJS to give away (they should be in the
mail now).

See you there!

Cheers,
Silvia.
